There is no single national TEAS date. You choose from the sittings your school or an ATI testing centre offers, or you book a proctored online exam, and you register for a specific seat. That is the whole decision: pick a date, reserve the seat, then work backwards from it. This walks through how to do that cleanly, and how far ahead to start.
Where your test date comes from
The TEAS is offered three ways, and the route you take decides which dates you can see.
One exam, three doors. The test is the same TEAS 7 whichever way you sit it. Only the calendar and the price change.
- At your nursing school. Many programs run their own TEAS sittings for applicants. Dates are limited and fill quickly, and the fee is set by the school.
- At an ATI or PSI testing centre. You book directly through your ATI account and choose from the centre's published dates.
- Online with remote proctoring. You sit the exam at home on scheduled dates, watched by a live proctor. Convenient, with its own equipment and room checks to pass first.
If your program requires you to test with them, that decision is made for you. Confirm the exact requirement with the school before you book anything, since a score from the wrong route may not count.
How to register, step by step
Registration runs through your ATI Testing account in almost every case. The shape is the same wherever you sit.
- Create or sign in to your account at the official ATI Testing site.
- Choose your location and format: a physical centre near you, or online proctored.
- Pick from the dates and times shown, then pay to lock the seat.
- Read the confirmation for what to bring and when to arrive, and save it.
If you are testing through your school, register the way its admissions office tells you to, not through the public ATI calendar. The two do not always show the same seats. What it costs to reserve a seat
Registering is where you pay the exam fee, which commonly falls somewhere between about $70 and $140 depending on the route and your school. Online proctoring and separate transcript fees can add to that.
