What the lesson concludes
- The topic sentence states one main idea broad enough to cover every supporting sentence.
- Supporting sentences must add new evidence or examples, not just restate the topic sentence.
- Transitions such as for example, however, and therefore show the reader how ideas connect.
- The concluding sentence closes the paragraph's point. It should not introduce a topic that belongs elsewhere.
