- Convert a given diameter to a radius before applying a circle formula.
What the lesson concludes
- Perimeter adds up the sides; area covers the surface; volume fills the solid, so match the question's wording to the right one.
- Rectangle area is length times width; triangle area is one half base times height; circle area is pi times radius squared.
- Most volume formulas are the base's area multiplied by the height, whether the base is a rectangle or a circle.
- If you are given a diameter, halve it to get the radius before using a circle formula.
- Convert every measurement to the same unit before multiplying, or the result will not mean anything.
